Each year, hundreds of property owners in the Triangle area rent their homes and townhomes. It can be a confusing and time-consuming experience…full of legal pitfalls. The role of Block & Associates Property Management is:
- to carry out the responsibilities of the rental agreement.
- to protect the investment of the Landlord.
- to help the tenant have an enjoyable stay at the rental property.
Our computerized property accounting and information system allows us to track daily tasks, evaluate property performance, and provide an accounting of all property finances. Our Property Management division comprises nine full-time professionals.

Lori is a native of Raleigh and joins us with more than 20 years of experience in Property Management. She is a graduate of NC State University with a BA degree in Speech Communication. She is characterized as having strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Always working towards excellence, her diverse skills include Accounting, New construction estimates as well as Budgeting. Lori is primarily responsible for administering rent collections, handling legal action and enforcing the terms of your Rental Contract. Managing investment real estate requires attention to detail, problem solving, good communication skills, and follow up on every action. Kemp is a Raleigh native who graduated from Broughton High School. He then graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and began his property management career. Kemp has experience in multi-family and section 8 housing. His experience in many facets of property management allows him to provide exceptional customer service to both owners and tenants.
Kemp’s primary responsibilities include scheduling vendors to repair maintenance issues and performing interim and move-out inspections for properties managed by Block. Kemp has many years of experience in all phases of property management and is an excellent problem solver. Please know that we will always try to trouble shoot any maintenance issue over the phone with your tenant before we call for service that will be an expense for you. We know that your cash flow is important and we are always cautious with expenses.

A native of Apex, Courtney joined the Block Team in May, 2012. A graduate from Peace College, Courtney started her real estate career in Marketing with a Commercial Real Estate Company. Her previous work-experiences have given her the ability to provide quality customer service in many different situations. Her positive and energetic attitude has proven to be a great asset to the Property Management Department.
Courtney is our property management intake coordinator. Courtney contacts all new Landlords when their properties first come to our department. Her job is to review Property Management policy & procedures and answer any questions about how and why we do things. Courtney is also responsible for managing quality control in regards to all work-orders and their completion. She can also assist if you have trouble logging onto our owners’ portal.

Christine is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and has made the Triangle her home since 1998. Christine is the newest addition to our property Management Team. She brings with her over 15 years of multi-family Property Management experience. She has experienced and enjoys all aspects of Property Management; she will provide a level of expertise to all owners as well as tenants. She looks forward to building relationships and serving you.
Christine’s responsibilities include performing interim inspections and arranging for any needed maintenance for managed properties. Should you ever need to update your properties preferred vendor contacts, Christine can do that for you. Christine is also your point of contact for all of your irrigation needs. Please note that not only do we try to minimize your expenses, but unlike most Property Management firms in our market, we never mark up a vendor’s invoice. You are billed only the exact cost.

Born and raised in upstate New York, Scott has lived in the triangle for the past 15 years. His previous experiences have taken him around the world and has allowed him to gain a well rounded skill set, all while providing top notch customer service. Having worked in specialty construction and the home improvement industry, Scott has the skills and resources, to meet the property management team’s needs. As an investment property owner himself, he understands the complexities of balancing the owner’s thresholds and the tenant’s requests.
Scott’s primary responsibility is performing move-in and move-out inspections for properties managed by Block. In addition to performing inspections, Scott also assists our in-house maintenance team complete property maintenance requests.

Originally from California, Michael brings to Block and Associates over 8 years of experience as a property manager with a proven track records of exemplary customer service to owners, tenants and vendors.
His positive and upbeat attitude as well as his broad experience is a tremendous asset to the management team. He looks forward to translating those skills and abilities into a strong and positive working relationship with both owners and tenants alike.
Michael is your “go-to” Coordinator when your home is vacant. Specifically, Michael oversees all move-out inspections for properties managed by Block, arranges for any needed maintenance between tenancies, and Michael handles all security deposit itemizations. North Carolina law specifically lists the charges for which a tenant is responsible, and we carefully follow those rules.

Gina is a native of Willow Springs and brings with her 17 years of experience in the Multi-family property management. She is characterized as having strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Her diverse skills include new construction ,budgeting, training and tenant relation. She is excited to be a part of the Block Management team.
Gina Eckert is our new home warranty representative. If you have a new home, Gina acts as a liaison between your builder and tenants. She’s also your main contact for items of concern involving your Homeowner’s Association. Gina strongly encourages you to provide your Homeowner’s Association with your preferred mailing address. Our experience is that an HOA’s ability to contact the appropriate parties prevents unnecessary fines regarding violations and/or delinquencies.
